Jim founded RYMARK International on the principle that “people do business with people they know and trust.” Since the start of the company in 1994, that principle still remains a guiding cornerstone of RYMARK International. Jim’s vision is to develop strong, long-lasting partnerships with each client. He firmly believes in professional, ethical and personal service delivered by RYMARK International’s group of experienced, knowledgeable experts. The RYMARK International team is one that cares about their clients and is motivated to help them achieve a successful meeting or event – anywhere in the world. Prior to opening RYMARK International, Jim worked over 20 years with the Walt Disney Company as General Manager of Resort Sales and Services, and was responsible for marketing, sales, coordination and administration for all group and convention activity at the Walt Disney World Resort®. Also, he was a key member of the advance team for the opening of the EURODISNEYLAND® project in France where he managed sales, marketing, strategic planning and distribution. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University.
Vice President and General Manager
Cathy joined RYMARK International as the former Sales Manager of Meetings and Incentive Travel Magazine in Canada. Holding a degree in marketing, she was instrumental in developing international recognition for the publication and for the creation of CMITS, the Canadian Meeting and Incentive Show. During this tenure, Cathy spoke at industry seminars and meetings and incentive conferences for government tourism associations. In the early 1990s, she formed Integrated Destination Marketing Services to assist clients in targeting their combined sales and marketing efforts toward the meetings and incentive travel industry. In 1996, Cathy joined Jim in Orlando as VP and General Manager of RYMARK International. “Believing in building strong business relationships as trusting partnerships,” she works toward growing and maintaining them with the firm’s clients. “The best compliment that we can receive is a recommendation from one of our existing clients – reputation is everything to us!”
Administration and Project Manager
Tammy has joined RYMARK International as a Project Manager and Administration staff member. She has been involved in the Hospitality industry for several years working extensively in South Florida at Jupiter Beach Resort and PGA National Resort & Spa. In Orlando, she was a member of the sales team at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin. Tammy is excited to be a member of the team to help facilitate daily operations.
Terri graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration from the University of New Orleans. She joined RYMARK International in 2003 after a highly successful 18-year successful career in hotel sales and marketing. From the early 1990s until joining our team, Terri held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for the Buena Vista Palace Resort & Spa where she was responsible for a staff of thirty people, revenues of $78 million, and more than five hundred meetings and conventions annually. Terri’s years of earned industry knowledge are truly a valuable asset to RYMARK International’s clients. She believes that “sincere caring, responsiveness, creativity and diligent hard work are key to meeting clients’ needs and establishing productive long-term relationships.”
Tricia Daniels, CMP
Director - Sales and Event Management
Tricia Daniels joined RYMARK International in January 2007 with over thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry from the Walt Disney Company®. She has earned the prestigious Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) awarded by the Convention Industry Council, as well as her Sommelier Certification. Solidly trained in catering sales and convention services, she held the position of Catering & Convention Services Director at Disney where she was responsible for a team of seventeen people, revenues of over $17 million and more than 1,200 annual events. She believes that, “all events can be successful with detailed planning, a flexible approach, and consistent follow-up.”
Director of Sales
Mark has been involved in the travel industry since 1981, and has represented Rymark for the past five years. He has enjoyed success in both management and sales within a wide range of industries and companies in North America. Having worked extensively in all areas of hospitality with two major travel companies worldwide, as well as being an owner of two others throughout his career. His education includes Upper Canada College, and Carleton University, both in Canada. "In today's environment success is all about understanding the client, their company and their needs and wants, all within the scope of building trust."
Director - Sales and Technology
Don joined RYMARK International in 2010, and handles hotel/site selection resources for various corporations and companies that he is affiliated with. Experience includes creation, and hands-on project logistics, hotel contract negotiations, and technical management for large (80,000+) and small events, conferences, meetings, and trade shows for a variety of businesses in a wide range of industries, including: legal, healthcare, technology, hair profession, and government. He holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. Degree in marketing, plus extensive training in web based IT. Don is excited to be a part of the RYMARK team to offer clients very unique and creative ideas for meetings and conferences - small or large.
Cindy is delighted to be a member of the Rymark team of professionals! She previously worked as an independent event planner/conference co-ordinator for over 20 twenty years, co-ordinating all logistical components of events and conferences (of all sizes) including site sourcing, venue selection, contract negotiation, program development, event marketing, online registration and onsite event management. Cindy has a particular interest in organizing professional development and/or continuing education opportunities for businesses, the medical and education sectors, organizations and agencies. She holds a Masters of Education degree with an extensive professional background in education. Cindy believes in establishing a personal connection, thoroughly understanding her clients’ needs and providing customized, professional service that exceeds her clients’ expectations; this, in turn, cultivates a lasting relationship!
